About Holes

From writer Tom Basden, Holes is a grizzly fast pace apocalyptic comedy crash landing at the Wuzhen Festival this October. Stranded on a desert island following a plane crash, three sparring colleagues and a teenager are the sole survivors of the BA043 air disaster. Waiting to be rescued and armed with microwave chicken chasseurs and duty-free booze, our mismatched castaways wrestle with the realisation that they might just be all that's left of humanity…

About Lydia Cook

Lydia Cook is a Bristol-based director known for her immersive, bold style with elements of music and movement.

She began her journey as a performer and later became a Performing Arts lecturer where she developed her passion for directing theatre.

September 2022, Lydia trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School obtaining an MA in drama directing, where she collaborated with other creatives at the school, taking her directing to the next level.

Following the successful sold-out run of Holes at the Wardrobe Theatre, Lydia is excited to share this apocalyptic comedy with the audiences at the Wuzhen Theatre Festival.
