Reviews
I was once too shocked to speak, because of the theme and the way the director expressed. In the very beginning, I thought it would be a romantic love story because of the name and the poster of the show. I didn't realize it could be a work of awakening of the Feminism. It's about to say "No" to the patriarchal. All the characters are shinning (except the father character. He was made to be thrilling).

A work full of imagination. The body is stronger than words in theatre. The tension of emotion constantly switching makes audiences staying in the imagined situation. I can see the imagination and ambition went further and the actual achievement of details. The director should make it less in the future to make it a more distinct work.

The tragedy of Women is knowing the essential reason why they don't get freedom without any way to get rid of it. The tragedy of Men is believing the rules of success and failure too much with missing all the other answers. Living in a given way of life, or creating a new one on yourself.

It's like wine, hard to swallow, but the aftertaste is mellow. I wish all of us won't live like the oleander in the flower pot or the little gold fish stuck in the sink, but be like water flowing by the instinct without any control.

About Bon Appétit!
After a small affair, a woman ate an oleander and died by the poison of it; a man ate a goldfish and died by choking; an old couple died while taking a trip with no destination. Bon Appétit!, written by Yang Xiaoxue, shows a unique and universal model of "Family". Wang Anbang, the director, tried to blow up all the details behind the text, which makes it a story about "separation" in theatre.
